Jack Thompson’s Mortal Kombat Docu-Drama

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007

Jack’s back. Not demoralized from his latest setbacks, he’s now appearing in a trailer for an anti-gamer Docu-Drama entitled “Mortal Kombat”.

As usual from anything involving Jack, there’s a lot of shock-value but little hard evidence. Images of Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold flash across the screen as Jack predicts “a Columbine-link incident to the factor of ten”. Another part links school children as potential cop-killers thanks to Grand Theft Auto and claims 9.11 terrorists trained on Microsoft Flight Simulator. Other known critics of games such as Joe Lieberman make an appearance.

Further digging reveals a Myspace page with little detail besides a link to “mortalkombatmovie.com”, which appears to be owned by a domain-squatter. Another vile gamer, no doubt.

Suddenly, Mortal Kombat Annihilation looks good.

You always remember your first time..

After much procrastination, here it is. I know there’s not much content at the moment, so to keep you amused, here’s a homage to getting 99 lives in Super Mario World. Ahh, memories.
